Description
These paper ornaments were handmade in Sagaing, Myanmar. They are is designed as a model of a traditional Burmese toy, the “Pyit Taing Htaung.” The Pyit Taing Htaung is a traditional rolling doll that rights itself whenever it is tossed.
The name “Pyit Taing Htaung” means, “when it’s thrown or falls, it comes back up.”
The family who creates these paper ornaments has been making them for three generations. We are proud to support them in keeping this traditional handiwork alive and celebrated around the world!
These are sold as a couple, and measure roughly 4.5 inches tall.
